Mission Statement: (See Web Site For Updated Information)
Value of a Being, the first HEAL initiative, uses story telling as a medium for social reform and dialog in public health ethics in the developing world. Amidst growing inequality in access to medical treatment, lack of accountability, loss of human dignity and capricious health policy and practice, a global discourse on the values driving healthcare in the developing world has become necessary.

We believe that human experiences can shed light on the health-related ethical dilemmas of our time. So we offer a platform that examines ethical failures, successes and everything in between – simultaneously probing, healing and offering food for thought without being punitive or judgmental.
